Well, today was the day the puppies were unconsciously waiting for- pick-up day!
First (Friday) came Mrs. G. for Selah, in her silver car...
Since Selah will only be in the next town over, we might be able to see her occasionally. |
Then Saturday morning came, and in due course five more silver cars or trucks rolled down our driveway one after the other, while I bathed, dried, fluffed fur, clipped nails, and checked paperwork.
The C. family picked up Angelica... |
Then the L. family arrived for Jaxon. |
A little later the A. family came for Bosco... |
And Ms. M. came for Star. |
And I wasn't able to get a photo of Charlie's family when he was picked up, but will hopefully get one of him in his new home soon. I am so happy that all of these wonderful puppies got good homes, and will stay in touch with the owners.
Those puppies took a pretty good slice of my time every day, and now that they have all been taken to their homes, I was beginning to congratulate myself on having some extra time in the morning. That is, I was until yesterday, when some friends from church dropped off our new beef calf, Chipotles, whom we will need to bottle-feed for the next three months. Of course, since I've given him his first three bottles, he is convinced that I am his mother, and comes running up to me and starts butting me whenever I go in the pasture now. So I have a new project on my hands...
But praise the Lord for life, and the joys and work that are part of it!
