More pictures of Bluebell

Tonight I went out and snapped a few more photos of Bluebell and Blossom. She is currently with Blossom during the day, then separated at night. We milk Blossom in the morning, then they go together again.

These two (above and below) were taken a couple of mornings ago (Saturday, I think). The lighting and dewy grass were just so pretty, and of course, so was the sweet family milker and her baby!

Bluebell has been sold. She is learning to lead, and I am hoping to have some good lessons with her in the future, as I handle her more and more. She is handled most evenings by Bo (13) and LilyAnn (11) when they separate her from Blossom. We try to keep it as low-stress as possible, and they both accept it very quietly now.

It's so fun to watch her growing!

Marvelous Seeds- Natural Dewormer for Dogs and Others

Naturally de-worming animals can be challenging, and some people will say that you are just better off going with the chemicals. There are several problems with chemical wormers however. You see, a chemical wormer is actually a poison, which is fed to the animal in large enough doses to kill, or expel the worms, but in small enough amounts that it hopefully will not injure the animal. As stated in other places on this blog, the sire is a beautiful, purebred Chocolate lab who lives near us. Inez is a full-blooded Great Pyrenees. We used to lose chickens to the many predators which live all around us (foxes, raccoons, opossums, hawks, and coyotes, etc.) But since we got her, we have lost hardly any poultry at all. In fact, we no longer even need to shut or lock the coop door at night.
